Given his daily showbiz grind, Billy Crawford still finds time for the preparations of his and Coleen Garcia’s wedding. The lovers will walk down the aisle summer next year as stated in the reports.

“Both of us are pretty hands-on,” shared the It’s Showtime! host with media people present during his launch as the latest endorser of Burger King. “May oras pa naman kami at least. Day by day, we tackle certain things na kailangan naming pag-usapan, na kailangan naming mag-decide (like) for the venue.“

When asked about the details of the wedding, Billy replied, “Well, I can’t really share much. Medyo we’re trying to keep it lang very intimate muna.” But Billy was generous to answer media inquiries that somehow gave everyone an idea of how the wedding will look like. He said that special day would be “somewhat intimate, but (it) can’t really be too intimate baka kasi may magtatampo. With this wedding, we try to focus on us. It’s all about Coleen and I. So we’re trying to do the best we can to invite the people, who really, you know, have been with us since the start of our relationship, yun yung pinakaimportante din. The people who believed in us, the people who supported us, the people (who) guided us in every way.”

The R&B singer also said that they will have Christian rites and he wants “to be fit for the wedding.” Last week, photos of them in Ethiopia surfaced on social media. Some suspected that this trip was part of the couple’s pre-nup shoot.

Meantime, Billy and Coleen’s hands are full with work commitments (hosting for him and acting in a soap titled Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin for her). What also keeps Billy busy these days is his latest endorsement with Burger King and its 4-Cheese Whopper. The information furnished to the media states that Billy has been tapped for his “talents and fun loving character” that the public admires and can relate to. That makes Billy the perfect face of the brand. Viewers see Billy on the fast-food chain’s TV and online advertisements, which entice cheeseburger lovers to try its “juicy, flame-grilled, 100-percent beef patty, topped with four types of oozing, stretching and melting cheese.”

Back to Billy, he shared his thoughts, too, of having Coleen in his life.

“I get to know her on a daily basis,” Billy shared. “I get to talk to her every day. I get to see her, especially when we travel outside the country. Pag nasa labas kami, we see a more of an organized commitment. So both of us get to compromise. We get to organize. I get to take care of responsibilities... Marami kang natututunan.” That’s why perhaps it wasn’t difficult for him to decide that she’s the one, committing to her for life. “It’s something you don’t expect. It’s something you just feel,” Billy said. “Hindi mo (naman) pwedeng pwersahan na sabihin mo she’s the one... Pwede kang mangarap. But at the end of the day, it’s what you feel in your heart. You just have to go with your heart... Kilalang kilala ko talaga si Coleen. Kilalang kilala niya talaga ako. I’m sure there are moments that we will be surprised, that we will be discovering (things) about each other. As of now, we’re not stagnant. We always learn from each other. I actually learn from her. It’s quite sad because I’m 10 years older pero marami pa rin akong natututunan sa bata di ba. I think it’s a good thing because I’m learning. It’s a learning experience.”

Billy also anticipates the inevitable adjustment he and Coleen will make as soon as they tie the knot and start their journey as husband and wife. “I think anybody who gets married, the adjustment will have to be drastic and will have to be a big change,” he said.

This entails thinking about “joining everything like finances, you think about properties and you think about businesses. It’s all one big thing.”

Along that line, they talk about saving for the future because they want to give their future family a comfortable life. Although it is too soon to entertain the idea of having their firstborn, Billy had this to say: “Probably, it won’t be in the first year. We’re gonna try to weigh it out muna because we want to enjoy each other’s company... Coleen is only 24, you know what I’m saying. She has many years ahead of her. I want her to experience all her dreams. Gusto kong matupad niya (yun lahat) muna bago magkaroon kami ng pamilya.” Once they decide to have their own family, Billy and Coleen will surely give their full attention to it.Read more at:www.marieaustralia.com/red-carpet-celebrity-dresses
